An electric shower only requires a cold water connection — the cold water is heated instantly by electricity to provide the hot water you need. That makes an electric shower the right choice for properties with a small hot water tank that can’t serve the whole household, or for anyone who wants instant hot water without relying on the boiler. If you have an old electric shower, we can replace it with a modern version that will serve you well for years to come.

Correctly sized cable & pull-cord isolatorCable is sized to match the shower’s kW rating. A ceiling pull-cord switch is fitted as required by regulations.
Supply & installation of your chosen shower unitWe fit all major brands — Triton, Mira, Grohe, Bristan and more — or supply a recommended unit.
Cold water connectionWe connect the cold water feed to the shower unit. Only a cold supply is needed — no hot water pipe required.
RCD protection on the shower circuitThe shower circuit is protected by an RCD at the consumer unit for maximum safety in a wet environment.
Full testing to BS 7671Insulation resistance, earth continuity and RCD trip tests are all carried out before handover.
Like-for-like replacement optionUpgrading an existing electric shower? We remove the old unit and fit the new one on the same circuit where suitable.
Certification where requiredNew circuits are certified to BS 7671 — we handle all compliance paperwork and issue certificates on the day.

Our process
Most installations are completed in a single visit — here’s what to expect.
Get in touch and let us know the shower model you’d like (or ask for a recommendation). We’ll confirm the electrical requirements, check your existing consumer unit capacity and provide a fixed-price quote.
We run the dedicated circuit from the consumer unit, install the pull-cord isolator, connect the cold water feed and mount the shower unit. Cable routes are kept as neat and concealed as possible.
Every connection is tested to BS 7671 before we hand over. We walk you through the shower controls and issue any required certificates on the day, including your Electrical Installation Certificate for new circuits.
